In medical terminology, painful sexual intercourse called dyspareunia (pronounced “dis-pair-une-ee-ah”), is a common complaint among women seeking gynecologic care.
Many women report occasional pain with intercourse, but some women have pain with every time they have sex with their partners. Although, this problem can be solved by having a quick visit to a good gynecologist or other health care provider and take adequate advice to seek some help:
There are three main conditions responsible for a painful intercourse.
- Uterine contractions from orgasm.
- An allergy to semen
- A vaginal infection or a yeast infection after the intercourse.
Perhaps the least common is pain that occurs only after intercourse or orgasm. There may other causes that may cause pain during sexual intercourse. It is advised to seek professional help to identify the problem and get adequate solutions. Also, women need to be careful about their health and take good care of their bodies as well.
